Privacy (Extension)

Relay is a browser extension that gives your AI tools a memory. It reads conversations from AI tools you are already using, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and more, and saves them locally on your machine so you can reload them in any future session.

The extension works by making network calls to read conversation content from supported AI tool pages. It requires an active internet connection to function.

Nothing it saves ever leaves your device unless you explicitly ask it to. See section 07 for the future Pro plan.

In the current free tier, the extension collects nothing personal that leaves your device.

The only data Relay handles is the conversation content you choose to save, and that stays entirely on your machine, in your local storage. We never see it. We never touch it.

The only thing that does leave your device is anonymous crash and error data. See section 05.

On your machine. Only your machine.

When you save a conversation, it goes into your browser's local storage or, if you are running the Relay desktop service, into a local database on your own device. Either way, it never leaves your machine in the free tier.

We do not have servers that receive your conversation data. We physically cannot read what you have saved.

When the extension crashes or runs into an error, we collect a small amount of anonymous technical information to help us fix it. This is the only data that leaves your device in the free tier.

This data is processed by a third-party crash reporting service. It is used solely to identify and fix bugs, nothing else. It is never sold, shared, or used for any other purpose.

We collect this because we genuinely need it to build a better product. Without it, we are flying blind when something breaks. With it, we can fix problems before most users even notice them.

The extension requests several browser permissions. Here is exactly why each one exists:

We are working on a Pro tier that will add cloud sync, letting you access your saved conversations across multiple devices and share context with teammates.

If and when that launches:

• ·Cloud sync will be opt-in only. The free tier stays local-first, always.
• ·Your conversation data would be stored on third-party cloud infrastructure. The specific provider will be named here before Pro launches.
• ·You will get a clear explanation of what changes before anything leaves your device.
• ·You will be able to export or delete all your cloud data at any time.
• ·This policy will be updated in full before Pro launches, not after.

Until then, nothing changes. Everything stays on your machine.

Free tier, conversation data: Your conversations live on your device. Clear them anytime by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser's local storage. We have nothing on our end to delete because we never received it.

Free tier, error reports: Anonymous and not tied to your identity, so there is nothing to delete. If you would prefer error reporting to be disabled, email us and we will tell you how.

Future Pro tier: Email support@codeclowns.com and we will delete everything from our servers within 48 hours and confirm when it is done.

If anything material changes, especially around the Pro plan and cloud storage, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where possible, notify users through the extension itself.

We will not quietly change what data we collect. If the free tier ever changes from local-only conversation storage, we will ask for your explicit consent first.
